Rules for D/7 Annual Photography Contest
Sponsor: Administrative Officer
1. As part of its promotion of boating activities, D/7 encourages members to share pictures they’ve taken of boating events.
2. To this end, D/7 will make available space on its web site for members to display their photos of their boating activities.
3. Only photos taken by a D/7 member of a boating activity during 2007 may be submitted. The member submitting the photo will be asked to submit an e-mail note that the photo is a qualifying photo.
4. Photos may be taken anytime in 2007 and uploaded to the D/7 webmaster with a description of the photo and the name of the photographer.
5. Judging will be by a panel of judges appointed by the D/7 Commander. The judges will review the pictures for composition, interest and story-telling. Pictures of boats and boating and beautiful scenes from boats will probably be better than groups of boaters. Members are urged to cull their pictures down to a few of their very best.
6. Prizes will be presented at the Spring Conference. One overall winner plus a number of honorable mention pictures will be selected. Those photos will be displayed at the Spring Conference and recognition will be given to the photographer member. The winning picture will be placed on the D/7 Web Site home page for the coming year.
